Professor Mark Bartold

Mark Bartold is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Adelaide. He is a past President of the International Academy of Periodontology, the Asian Pacific Society of Periodontology, and RACDS Division of Periodontics.  He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Periodontal Research, Periodontology 2000 and Clinical & Experimental Dental Research and Editor of the Australian Dental Journal and Journal of the International Academy of Periodontology. His research focuses on the use of stem cells for periodontal regeneration and periodontal/systemic health interrelationships.  Professor Bartold has authored over 320 scientific articles.  He also works half-time in private specialist periodontal practice.
