Dr Hardiman completed her PhD in mineralised tissue research and has continued her interest in this area. Her main research focus is on the effects of life events in mineralised tissue. Dr Hardiman is a Senior Lecturer at the Melbourne Dental School and conducts research with the Melbourne Femur Research Collection and the School’s skull and tooth collections. In 2017 she gathered a group of colleagues with aligned research interests and founded a dental anthropology research group. Dr Hardiman uses a number of advanced imaging and other techniques to collect data from teeth to answer research questions about diet, health and activities.
